Here is Part 2 of my country road walk.
Not only is the walk scenic, but it has a few hills, so I am getting my aerobic workout in. Here are some of the views from the top. I especially love seeing the mountains in the background.
I was so excited about this view and the fact that my phone actually had service (because I was on top of a hill), that I texted my friend Lisa with these pictures. Except, as soon as I sent them, I realized I should have waited. It was 7:00 am on a Sunday morning and not everyone is up and about at that time. Oops.
A country road wouldn’t be complete without some stone walls.
As I am walking back to our place, I see the back end of a baby bear! Oops, I was trying to remember what you are supposed to do if you come across a bear. Do you pretend to be dead and not move or do you wave and shout and move your arms? Luckily I didn’t have to remember since the little guy scampered back into the woods. I didn’t have a chance to take a picture, but this Internet photo gives you the idea.
Ah, there is nothing like a bracing walk along a country road to make you feel at peace with the world.
What experiences have you had on country roads?

Totally don’t know what you do with bears, lol, we don’t have them here at all! π€

What a cutie you encountered! But just as well he decided to skedaddle back into the woods – no matter how adorable, he is still part of the wild π

Hi Ju-Lyn,
Yes, I agree, he was cute from a distance…..Hopefully, he found his way back to Momma Bear.
