As you can probably tell from my prior blog posts, I love Vermont! One of my favorite things is to walk in nature. We were very fortunate that the place we stayed was right on a country road. There wasn’t much traffic so it was perfect for walking. And so many pretty sights, which I am sharing with you all.
This is how the walk started. The sun is streaming through the trees.
I came across a small body of water, with a beaver dam. Didn’t see any beavers though.
Is this quintessential Vermont or what? A pretty country field. All this is missing is some cows. π
Hah, I knew I was really in the country when I saw this road sign, saying that the road is closed from October to May. This is because there is so much snow!
There is nothing like a scenic walk in nature to make you happy. Stay tuned next week for Part 2.
What experiences have you had on country roads?

I must say I haven’t had much experience on country roads recently – the closest I’ve come is running along empty suburban streets during Covid lockdown. Walking along with you is a balm.
