It is so sad and disheartening to read the news these days. America is being torn apart and sometimes I feel powerless to do anything about it. And yet, I believe that we will survive and somehow pull together as a nation.
The 4th of July is a bittersweet time for me since my Dad passed away on this day in 2003. He loved celebrating the 4th! We would watch the parade in the morning and then have a cook out in the afternoon. This year, the holiday was a bit different since all celebrations have been canceled due to the coronavirus. Mr. Ken’s shoulder is still hurting him, so we can’t go kayaking yet.
Rather than feel sorry for myself, I went for a nice long early morning walk and counted all my blessings. I was still counting 60 minutes later when I finished my walk!
My thoughts today are simple:
“God Bless America!”

I hope you had a lovely 4th of July – any day you can take a nice walk in nature is a good day!

Hi Laura,
I’m with you on that walk in nature. I am especially grateful these days, given all my past foot problems.
I hope all is well with you and your family.
Nancy
