The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for my blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 5,700 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 10 years to get that many views.
I have no idea what this sentence means :), I guess my math word problem skills are a little rusty. And to think I was a math major in college!
The top five most viewed posts in my blog:
1. Three future marketing trends happening now 8 comments September 2011
2. Tips for dealing with competitive women 7 comments December 2010
3. Living without technology 15 comments July 2011
4. How to choose meaningful Facebook friends 9 comments January 2010
5. Why I don’t like Google plus 12 comments May 2012
A heartfelt thank you to all of my readers. I’ve enjoyed your comments and look forward to another fun year of blogging!

I wondered what a similar sentence appeared on my WordPress report. I think what it boils down to, Nancy is ‘must try harder….’. At least that’s how I’m taking my report!
Good luck, regards
Tony

Hi Tony,
Makes sense to me! Given the fact that I didn’t do any blogging for the last few months of 2012, I do need to try harder.
But, a new year and a new start!
Looking forward to reading what you have to say this year.
Regards,
Nancy

Hey Nancy,
Being a sucker for math word problems, I think it would have been better stated, “if ONLY every person who reached the top of Mt Everest read this blog…..”. I can only imagine the student hysteria if I wrote the problem on an Algebra test, as written by the monkeys… Luckily, you have a few people who aren’t mountain climbers reading your blog…
Happy New Year!
Love, Pam

Hi Pam,
Thanks for your clarification. I think I can safely say that you are the only one of my friends who loves math problems. Either that means I don’t have many friends, or you are unique :). I’m going with the fact that you are unique.
Happy New Year to you too!
