I usually write “feel good” posts so I can add a little sunshine to our rather gloomy times. But I just had to post this.
On Sunday, Mr. Ken and I went to a classical music concert at a local high school. Now this school is in a very nice Boston suburb (not the town we live in.) The school was new and really nice. It was quite different from my high school, which was built back in the early 1900’s. The concert was lovely and I will write about it soon.
I went to use the rest room. As I was leaving I saw this sign on the door. I had to read it twice. I was dismayed and saddened that schools now have to post such things and probably have drills on what students need to do if this happens.
I may not have been surprised if I saw such a sign in a school located in a “bad” neighborhood. This really made me stop and think and realize that this tragedy can happen anywhere, even in the so-called “nice towns.”
Sigh, my biggest worry in high school was what to do if I had a bad hair day. My heart goes out to kids today, having to deal with such violence as a way of life.

Hi Vinny,
Thanks so much for your comment.
On a separate note, I hope you are feeling better. Being stuck with long Covid is no fun, that’s for sure.
Take care.

Yeah it’s amazing really. Here in the UK gun crime does happen but nothing like the US so it’s hard to understand. By the way thank you, long covid is kicking me quite badly at the moment but that’s what it does unfortunately.
