I love having momentos of our trips; they don’t have to be anything fancy. This time in Vermont I got some good ones.
The beautiful wood bowl was handmade by a 95 year old man from New Hampshire. We picked up this gem at the Chester Fall Festival.
The pretty tea ball with a dragon fly reminds me of our yummy lunches at the Garden Market Deli in South Londonderry Vermont.
The pretty crystals were bought at my favorite gift store in Chester Vermont.
Every time I look at these items, I will think of our glorious trip to Vermont. I can’t wait to get back there!
What souvenirs do you like to collect?

It is wonderful how some mementos have the power to immediately restore our mind to a certain place, a certain moment! 🙂

Hey Colin,
You are so right about that. And I have found that even a simple memento can do that.

When I saw that hand turned wood bowl at the Chester, VT Fall Festival, it was love at first sight. I just love the inlaid bands. The 95-year-old woodworker inscribed the bottom with his name and the types of wood used, which are black cherry and black walnut. We had a nice chat with his son, who had a booth setup at the Fall Festival. As I suspected, creating this bowl was not easy.
