What do you look forward to?

Posted on September 2, 2020

These days, it really is the little things that mean the most. I try to find something to look forward to every day. These days it is:

morning coffee

1. My morning coffee.

I just have one mug, with real cream. It is such a treat and looking forward to this makes it easier to get up since it is now dark at 5:00 am.

Gina B power walk

2. My exercise.

My latest interest is dance walking. I found a new instructor, Gina B. of Up to Beat Fitness, who must have been trained as a dancer. She can move so elegantly and she is also a good teacher. She just put out some new workouts, “Dancing through the Decades.” There are music and dance moves from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. It is just so much fun to move and try and learn the dance steps. The operative word here is “try.” I have two left feet and even though I think I am moving just like Gina, I am not.

It is funny too, for the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, I recognize the songs. Not so for the 90’s and 00’s. These days, I listen to Classical music, so that must be why. Even though I don’t care for the songs since they all sound likes cows whining, they have a driving beat and that makes if fun to move.

Plus, Gina is such a positive, upbeat and energetic person, I am always in a good mood after finishing her dance workouts.

So what are you looking forward to these days?
