These sure are strange and interesting times. No wonder I am exhausted all the time. I do an extensive benefit/risk analysis before I ever leave the house. Is the benefit I may get more than the risk of catching COVID? I do this even before I take my walks.
I had a teeth cleaning appointment last week. I went back and forth on whether or not to cancel it. With my dental issues, I need to see the dentist every 3 months. I was afraid if I canceled this appointment, by the time my next appointment came up, we’d be in the midst of another COVID outbreak. Ack, what to do? What to do?
Well, I decided to “brave it” and keep my appointment. The sad thing was that once I resigned myself to going to the dentist, I was actually looking forward to it. It would be a change of
scenery, plus I would get to see some new people. How sad is that?
By the way, I felt very safe at my dentist. Aside from the dentist and the hygienist, I was the only other person in the office. The dentist and hygienist wore complete hazmat suits, no virus was getting anywhere near them or me!
When I mentioned to the hygienist about looking forward to coming, she laughed and said a lot of people were saying that. We are all going stir crazy.
But, you know what? The COVID numbers in Massachusetts are going down. Everyone is wearing a mask. We are all taking this very seriously and it shows. I feel bad for other parts of the country that are experiencing a surge in cases.
What things are you looking forward to that surprise you?

That is a statement that I could never see myself uttering! I really, really dislike going to the dentist. That said, it’s never too bad once I’m there and they don’t use that horrible scraper instrument that they did years ago but no, just no! π

Hi Bon Repos Gites,
Hah – you just never know. I never thought I would hear myself saying these words.
Interesting times we live in.

I just hate going to the dentist, though I’m lucky his wife/assistant is ever so nice and lots of fun… and good at her job. But it’s still the dentist’s. Wish me luck: I’m going tomorrow….
