Sir Angus

There’s been more excitement at our house! I’d like to introduce everyone to Sir Angus, who is Sir Oliver’s cousin from Scotland! He’s part of the piper guard that protects the Royal family at their Balmoral estate in Scotland. Yes, he plays the bagpipes sometimes! Note his very sharp uniform including the official plaid kilt! It took a lot of effort to adopt Sir Angus as these overseas adoptions are a real bear! Oops, sorry guys, I forgot.

Anyway, we had a little party in honor of Sir Angus’ arrival and you can see the guys with their cupcakes below. He seems to be adapting well to the States and likes seeing the snow outside as it does snow in Scotland too.

Somehow, I don’t think we’ll be sharing much traditional Scottish food, except shortbread maybe. Haggis is a traditional Scottish dish consisting of a sheep’s or calf’s offal mixed with suet, oatmeal, and seasoning and boiled in a bag, traditionally one made from the animal’s stomach. Um, no I don’t think so. 🙂
