Well, this may look like chaos, but it is organized chaos! There is a method to my madness.
I just love organizing things and doing our London itinerary is no exception. I wrote out all the activities and attractions on a little pieces of paper. Each thing got its own piece of paper.
Each column you see represents a different day of the week. Now before you go thinking that I am trying to plan every second of our stay, I’m not. It’s just that there are a few attractions that we need to book now. These include Buckingham Palace and the Churchill War Rooms. I am also very interested in several walking tours of different areas of London. These are only offered on specific days and at specific times. Thus the column of paper you see. Each column represents a day of the week. The top is the morning and the bottom is the afternoon. The green stickies mention what part of London the attraction is in. The very top row are things that we could do any day and at any time. The big piece of paper in the middle is for the Hop-On Hop-Off bus tours. All of this is very much a work in progress. 🙂
Now, you will also notice there are a LOT of pieces of paper. Obviously, we won’t do everything I’ve listed on the papers, but I will just remove or switch around things as needed.
Eventually this will be put onto a spreadsheet to take with us to London.
You may wonder where Mr. Ken fits into all of this. I may ask him to plan our eating activities. This is right up his alley. Except, we may end up eating at every single McDonald’s in London. Knowing Mr. Ken he will find all the good donut shops as well. 🙂
I am curious to know how you all plan your trips.
