It is amazing how a picture can evoke so many memories. That is why I love getting pictures as souvenirs. We bought this lovely forest scene last November when we were in Asheville. Something about the picture just spoke to me; probably because I love nature.

Well I finally (!) got it framed and it now hangs in our family room. It is prominently displayed so we can see it when we sit and watch our Neflix shows in the evenings. Every time I look at that picture, I can still get that “vacation” feeling. I picture the rainy cool day that we bought it. The River Arts District in Asheville was having Open Studios and we had a lovely tour of all the artist studios. The River Arts District is a cool place that used to be just abandoned warehouses next to the French Broad River.
