No state fair would be complete without a marketing cow.
And the obligatory John Deere tractor. Boy, aren’t those tires huge!
Even though the Fair is only a few days every year, the grounds are meticulously maintained. I just loved looking at the pretty flowers along the path into the Dairy Barn. In the Barn, there were no cows, but just delicious Wilcox Farms ice cream.
No State Fair would be complete without a 4H competition. 4-H began in the early 1900s as a practical way to connect rural public school education with agricultural innovations. 4H stands for Head, Heart, Hands and Health. Here are the proud kids, parading their cows in front of the judges.
Have you ever been to a state fair? If so, what did you think?
