We just had a winter snowstorm. As long as I don’t have to drive, I love the snow! It is so pretty on the trees. I helped Mr. Ken with the shoveling. It was a glorious sunny day and actually quite pleasant and invigorating. The secret to getting through the winter is to try and get outside every day.
We also enjoy some “early” spring with this beautiful amaryllis. I am amazed that all you have to do with this flower is to put it in a sunny place and rotate it 1/4 way around every day, so the stalks grow straight. It is so nice to have a touch of spring even in the midst of winter.
As far as I am concerned, I have the best of both worlds right now.
What about you? How do you cope with winter?
