Nothing says “Vermont” like cows. I was very happy this time that we saw many cows in our travels.
On the way to Grafton to get our cheese, we came across Mom and babies. I made Mr. Ken stop the car so we could capture the moment. Across the field the owner was sitting on his tractor, probably wondering what we were doing.
While I was out for my walk, I saw some cows in the distance, across a field. I really wanted to cross the field to say hello, but I was afraid that someone might question why this small person was running across the field and talking to the cows. π
At the Chester Vermont Fall Festival, we saw a beautiful taupe cow and her baby. Too cute!

Are those cows grazing in a graveyard?

Hey Colin,
You have good eyes! Actually these beauties are grazing in a small temporary fenced-in area right in front of the graveyard. They were brought to the Chester Festival from their home. (Not sure where their home is.)

I couldn’t be certain haha! I have seen sheep grazing in old graveyards but never cows. Apparently, years ago it was so commonplace that they put in stiles to stop cows (although I suspect dogs and wolves) from wandering into the graveyards.
