So, it really is the little things in life that make a difference. President’s Day Weekend always brings me back to right before Mr. Ken and I had our first date, many, many, many years ago. I was working at a very stressful job in New York City. There wasn’t much joy in my life. Mr. Ken and I had set our first date for President’s Day. Well, Valentine’s Day happened to be a few days before and my dear Mr. Ken called me to wish me a Happy Valentine’s Day. That was so sweet and is so typical of him. I knew right then that he was a keeper.
We had our first date at the Prestige Diner in New Providence New Jersey. We “clicked” right away and so after dinner, Mr. Ken asked if I wanted to go see a movie. I was up for that. He then pulls the local paper out from his coat, saying, “well, I have a listing here of movies.” Hah, I knew right then that he was the guy for me.
Mr. Ken, being Mr. Ken, took a bit longer to realize that I was “the one.” But he did and the rest is history. 🙂
I still think of that phone call and what it meant to me. What simple things have made a big difference in your life?

I remember our first date like it was yesterday! I’m delighted that it went so well and you’re writing about it 32 years later while recalling it so fondly!
