You may be familiar with the children’s book, “Make Way for Ducklings.” If not, this is a children’s book about a pair of mallard ducks who decide to raise their family on an island in a lagoon at the Boston Public Garden. This is the sculpture, capturing those cute ducklings. Every season, they sport new outfits. Since it is spring, it is appropriate that they are all wearing their new Easter bonnets.
The Boston Public Garden is one of my favorite places in Boston. It was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted as part of the “green necklace,” a series of parks around Boston. It has beautiful flowers, that change with the seasons. Right now, it is filled with tulips.
What pretty areas are near where you live?

I loved to walk through the Public Garden during my lunch break when I worked nearby. As you said, they do a wonderful job rotating the flowers there so the park is beautiful spring through fall. I even loved walking through it in the winter the day after a snow storm as you had the place to yourself and it is so pretty in the bright sunshine and sparkling blue sky!

Hi Mr. Ken,
I can imagine it would be very nice to walk through the Public Gardens on a regular basis. What a nice way to spend your lunch hour!
