Well, so much for spring. We had our 3rd Nor’easter in two weeks on Tuesday. Needless to say our beloved chipmunks, having awoken from their big sleep, have gone back into hibernation. We even brought their water dishes back inside. We had one set up in the front and one in the back, since chipmunks are not very good at sharing. I think they will be moving to South Carolina after this storm!
For my friends in New England, I hope you are warm and safe in this blizzard and that you didn’t lose your power. Our lights flickered several times and I was nervous, but so far, so good.

I’m with you! I live in upstate NY and winter does drag when it gets into March. My retirement plan includes heading south before winter every year!

Cmon to SC…..leave your shovels behind….. it is frosty here this week. The buds are confused. Come on sunshine! Stay warm Nancy!

Hi Andy,
Yes, those southern states are looking better and better. Snow in March – I’m over that. I think flowers should be coming out in March. 🙂

…..and a good deal of pollen? Did you say your family is in Kiawah? My job takes me there now occasionally.

Hi Andy,
Yes, my brother-in-law used to live in Kiawah. Unfortunately his wife is now in a wheel chair, so they had to move to an assisted living place in Mount Pleasant. My mother-in-law lives right outside of Charleston.

My sympathy… though they’re saying we might get another cold snap here soon too, but no snow’s expected 😦

At least the snow was light and fluffy so it was not too hard to cleanup. Now, two days later, Mother Nature is doing a great job of melting it away. The snow is no match for the strong March sun!

Hi Mr. Ken,
Yes, in a few days, the snow went down a lot. Let’s hope we are done with snow for the season and that our chipmunks come back out. 🙂
