I had occasion to be back in Cambridge at the Harvard Business School for a Board meeting. I just love being in Cambridge! I feel smarter when I’m there. π
I was a little early to my meeting, so I took a stroll around the area. The Business School is right next to the Charles River, so there are plenty of sights to see.
1. The footbridge over the Charles River.
They recently renovated this footbridge. I remember walking over it back in my grad school days and it was crumbling a bit. You never knew if you would end up in the Charles River!
2. The view down the river.
It was a cloudy day, so the pictures don’t do the scenes justice. This view is looking down the Charles River, towards Boston. The tall buildings you see are in Cambridge. The river winds around so you don’t have a clear view into Boston.
3. Cute goslings!
Did you know that baby geese are called goslings? When I first went by them, they were all huddled in little fuzzy ball. It was too cute. By the time I got out my camera, the goslings were roaming out and about, under the watchful eyes of their parents.
4. The dramatic view of Baker Library.
This is classic New England.
Have you had any fun and interesting adventures close to home lately?

I used to love walking around this area when I worked in Cambridge. I would walk over to the MIT student center, where there is a Burger King, and get a Whopper for lunch. There’s something about eating a Whopper at MIT that makes me feel smarter! π

Well Mr. Ken,
I knew you liked to take walks when you worked in Kendall Square, but I never knew you ate at Burger King! Somehow that doesn’t surprise me. π
