Or rather, where is my smartphone?
It is usually lying on my desk, right in front of me, next to the little stylus thingie. The phone is normally staring at me, daring me to pick it up and start using it. Well, not today. It’s gone! This is what greeted me today.
I went into Mr. Ken’s office to see if he had the phone, but this is what I saw:
No Mr. Ken either! Very suspicious, don’t you agree? I think the missing smartphone and missing Mr. Ken are not a coincidence. What do you think?
You may wonder at the complete lack of clutter on Mr. Ken’s desk. That is the normal state of affairs for him. Other than seeing him sitting in the chair, you would never know whether he is here or not.
Now it may be that a thief has come into the house and stolen the smartphone. Somehow I don’t think that is the case. After all, the smartphone is in my office on the second floor. To get to this room, one would have to walk by the kitchen and walk by many Peeps. Because you know it is that time of year – Peep time! So if a thief came into the house, he would have stolen the Peeps, don’t you think?
Or perhaps Mr. Ken is in our living room, madly texting his twin brother who lives in South Carolina. They usually talk about the weather. But no sign of Mr. Ken anywhere in the house.
So what do you think happened to Mr. Ken and the smartphone?

Hi Andy,
That would be nice, wouldn’t it? Except he loves candy too and is not very likely to share it. We’ll see.
As for his brother, who is his twin, they live in Kiawah Island.

*laughs* I love the part when you visit his office and he’s gone! I bet he went outside.

Hi Professor,
Yes, that may be where he is. But he has been gone a long time and it’s cold outside, so I wonder . . .

I don’t know, but you’ve got me worried. When you find them I hope you’ll let me know. I am always losing things like my glasses, but then I find them on the top of my head or some other silly place, and yes the top of my head can be quite silly, so perhaps your smartphone is just in your handbag wondering why you are not using it

Hi Peter,
Oh dear, if the phone is in my handbag, I will never find it! I refer to my handbag as the “black hole.”

Use your house phone and ring your smartphone Nancy and tell it to bring back Mr Ken from the Donut store. 🙄 ❤

Dear friend Ralph,
Great suggestion! Except, I don’t remember the phone # for my smartphone.
As for Mr. Ken and the donut store, that may have some merit. 🙂

Hehe when I lose things I am forever trying to think, ‘where did I ever so cleverly leave them so that even I cannot remember!’ hehe 🙂 Mr. Ken may be eating chocolate bunnies?

Hi Christy,
I know exactly what you mean. I leave things in a place that makes perfect sense at that time. But when the time comes to remember where and why, my mind goes blank!
As for Mr. Ken, he may very well be eating chocolate bunnies. I will know though because he eats them so fast, he gets chocolate all over his mouth. We’ll just have to see.
