Last Wednesday was a great day.
Here’s what I accomplished:
*Woke up at 4 am before my alarm.
*Did an intense leg workout and felt energized afterwards.
*Finalized and published my blog post, Just push through it.
*Wrote a draft of this blog post.
*Completed a strategic marketing plan draft for the Boston Business Alliance.
And, this was all done before 8 am! I then spent the day at the FutureM Marketing Conference in Cambridge.
If only every day could be so productive and fun. Contrast this to the previous day, where I literally sat and stared at the computer screen all day.
Why such a difference?
*I thrive on change and I love having lots of different things to do in a day.
*I was constantly moving. I’ve never been able to sit still for any length of time, even if I’m totally engrossed in what I’m doing.
Lessons learned:
1. When stuck, get moving.
Instead of sitting and staring at my computer screen, I should have gotten up and gone for a walk.
2. Plan several things for a day.
Make sure at least one of those things is something I really enjoy. And, yes this could even be a 4 am exercise session, since I love to exercise. 🙂
