Not only were there lots of interesting animal sculptures in downtown Montpelier, but there were also lots of interesting sights.

And speaking of old, here is a building sign that has been around since 1890!
Montpelier is quirky and I love that. I just had so smile when I saw this sign, showing distances to various places in Vermont.
Who would have expected a rock garden right in downtown?
Yet, throughout this quirkiness, there is a silent strength. Vermont Strong!
We were visiting Vermont in the midst of Trump threatening Canada with all sorts of nonsense. Vermont, since it is so close to Canada, shares a special bond with Canada and they are not afraid to show it.
