Northampton Downtown Scene 2

I just love walking around new places. You see so much more than if you were driving. Of course, you have to have sidewalks in order to do this. Northampton has lots of sidewalks. Enjoy what more of what I saw during my walks in downtown Northampton.

Tuesdays are Farmers Market Days. Last year I bought the most delicious strawberries at the Market. Alas, this year, we were too early for strawberries. I just love the chalk drawings, made by anyone who wanted to draw.

Northampton folks and businesses take a lot of pride in their properties. Here is just one of a very pretty flower box.

There are lots of old buildings in downtown Northampton. I was fascinated by this old bank sign. Sadly this bank is long gone.

Speaking of banks, who would have thought that there would be a sphinx on top of a bank depository? They just don’t make them like they used to.

Northampton is a VERY liberal town. Nothing wrong with that, to each his own. I was so interested to see the dual support for MAGA (Make America Great Again) and the LBTQ. They were standing right next to each other, kind of alternating shouting. It was all quite civilized.
