Mr. Ken and I aren’t really “foodies” per se. Although we do enjoy our vacation meals. This trip to Northampton was no excecption.
We arrived in Northampton too early to check in to our AirBnb, so we wandered about the downtown. Of course we were starving. Hah, there is something about a car ride that always makes me hungry. Mr. Ken spotted a Thai restaurant, but I was a bit reluctant to try it. I had Thai food once and I didn’t like the cilantro flavoring. But I was feeling adventuresome (and starving) so we decided to go for it. I am so glad I did. I loved my meal – not a cilantro leaf in sight! It tasted more like the Chinese food I am used to.
Here I am, standing outside the restaurant, aptly named “Thai Thai.”
In our travels, we also came across a diner in Easthampton. Now Mr. Ken, being from New Jersey, is a diner aficionado, but he wanted to try this diner out. It did not disappoint!
Here is the intrepid Mr. Ken, feeling happy after a delicious meal.
Yep, in spite of my quest to eat healthy, I have a wicked sweet tooth. I was so excited to find a candy store, right in downtown Northampton. It is aptly named, “Sweeties.” It has been serving up candy happiness for over 30 years.
Here is the storefront.
And here is a sampling of some of our candy purchases. Um, I must admit, the candy didn’t last long. 🙂
On our travels, we love having breakfast and/or lunch out and then we chill back at our place and relax with frozen entrees.
What food do you like while on vacation?
