Northampton Art Scene

Mr. Ken and I took another fun trip out to Western Massachusetts. We again stayed in Northampton at the same AirBnb as before. I just love Northampton! It’s colorful and it’s quirky. It is affectionately known as NOHO.

There is a thriving art community in Northampton. Enjoy some of the artists’ work.

Another art gallery had this fun sculpture in the window. I especially love this picture because you can see beautiful old buildings reflected in the window.

Interesting murals were everywhere. This one is of the famous 1876 Bank Robbery of the Northampton National Bank. The “Great Northampton Bank Robbery” refers to the daring heist that occurred on January 26, 1876. It was considered the largest bank robbery in US history at the time, with robbers making off with $1.6 million in cash and bonds, equivalent to over $26 million today.

This colorful fence mural was in a residential neighborhood.
