Things that make me smile

January is a tough month in New England. It is cold, it is dark and there is really nothing to look forward to. I did find two things that made me smile last week.

Flowers

I love have plants and flowers in the house, especially in the winter. Our amaryllis plant bloomed last week and the flowers were beautiful.

Of course, our resident flower child, Winston, had to get in on the action too. 🙂

Celebrations!

We love to celebrate with our guys. Sir Angus came into our lives on January 18. So of course we had to get a balloon and some cupcakes for the festivities. Toby came into our lives on November 3, but we were on our way to Sedona, Arizona, so we didn’t celebrate then. So this was a double celebration.
