Trees everywhere

One of the (many) things I love about Vermont is all the forests. It is just so relaxing driving around and seeing just woods, instead of ugly built up areas.

There are lots of places to hike in Vermont too. This year, Mr. Ken and I decided to do the easy hikes.

Our lovely host told us about the new Manchester Depot Trail. Here is a view from that trail. I could have stood there all day and looked at this.

We also hiked our old favorite trails. The West River trail is built along an old railroad bed and it goes right by the West River. There is something so magical about sun shining on water.

We also hiked Lowell Lake.

And of course, our beloved guys got in on the action too. Here they are, ready with their hiking poles.
