I try to eat healthy. Hah, the operative word here is “try.” I know yogurt is good for you since it has calcium, protein and probiotics. I also try to be mindful of my sugar and fat consumption.
I was excited to see this latest yogurt by Chobani, sugar-free no less!
Greek yogurt has more protein that regular yogurt. And this “supposedly” has only natural ingredients.
But . . .
Since when is stevia a natural ingredient? Um, it is an ARTIFICIAL SWEETENER.
I was having terrible heartburn and I couldn’t figure out why since I didn’t think my diet had changed all that much. Then I remembered I have been eating this yogurt daily. I stopped eating it and voila, my heartburn went away. Thank goodness.
I usually am very careful about reading labels, but I was fooled by this one. I thought:
- it’s yogurt, so it must be healthy
- it’s no sugar, so it must be healthy.
My lesson learned is that I will ALWAYS read labels, even on so-called health foods.
How have you been fooled by deceptive marketing?

More importantly Nancy, how many strawberry poptarts do I have to eat to get a serving of fruit? I’m guessing a lot. π

Hi Laura,
You sound just like Mr. Ken. He claims that a blueberry muffin counts as a fruit serving, maybe two servings if it is a big muffin. π
