Inside Hildene, the Lincoln family home in Manchester Vermont, is just as beautiful as the outside.
The Hildene dining room is beautifully appointed with a welcoming table.
Wouldn’t you just love to work in a room like this? What a cozy study.
Robert Todd’s bedroom was on the first floor since in his later years, he couldn’t climb stairs.
It requires quite a lot of staff to maintain a household like Hildene. Here is the pantry, with a maid’s outfit.
The butler was considered the “senior servant” and as such, got his own room.
And last, but not least, Abraham Lincoln’s infamous top hat. This is the one he wore the night he as assassinated. If you look very carefully, you will see Mr. Ken’s reflection in the mirror as he was taking the picture.

Hi Caroline,
Thanks for your comment. The pictures don’t do it justice, but they can give you an idea of how nice the house is.
