Getting ready to go to Quebec

Posted on June 14, 2023

The big day has finally arrived and we are off to Quebec. Not only are we excited, but our little guys are excited too! Toby has gotten into the action are created his own itinerary.

If you can’t read his list, it says:

  • Schedule tour of bakeries. After all, Quebec City is known for its delicious French pastries.
  • See Sir Oliver’s cousins. One of the Canadian regiments has very similar outfits to that of our dear Sir Oliver. (Red coats and caps made of the fur of the Canadian Black Bear).
  • Watch for bears.

Here they are, all ready to go on the long trip!

Although little Toby wants to be on the lookout for bears as we travel up through New Hampshire and Vermont.

Me, being the organized person I am, did the “Marie Kondo” method of packing, by rolling up my clothes. It is amazing what you can fit into a small suitcase if you roll things. I was also excited to use my new “packing cubes.” These are nylon bags that you can use to organize your packing. They came in very handy at our place in Quebec since we had to live out of our suitcases. These cubes kept everything nice and neat and handy! Usually, after having to live out of my suitcase for a while, it looks like a tornado hit it.
