Bonjour Quebec

Posted on May 31, 2023

Mr. Ken and I are slowly emerging from our hermit state due to Covid. We are going to Quebec City, Canada later this summer. We can’t wait. We were originally scheduled to go in 2020, but then Covid hit. Canada and US shut their borders.

Quebec City is one of the oldest cities in Canada. They celebrated their 400th birthday in 2008. It is the only remaining walled city in North America north of Mexico. I am looking forward to practicing my French. Although this will be interesting since I haven’t spoken French since my Senior year in High School. Let’s just say that was a LONG time ago. πŸ™‚

Here is the Chateau Frontenac Hotel & Fortification Wall Cannons.

Planning a trip is half the fun. Although Mr. Ken and I have very different ideas on planning. I carefully research all the “must see” places and then plan accordingly. Mr. Ken wants to know where the food is. He is especially excited to visit Quebec City since it is known for its bakeries and pastry stores. Sigh. I am excited to visit here because there will be lots of farmer’s markets, filled with organic produce.

Have you been to Quebec City? If so, what was your favorite experience?
