Happy New Year!

Most of us will be glad to see the end of 2021. What a year. But I, as the eternal optimist, am looking forward to the New Year. There are still a lot of uncertainties, but some good will happen.

I am looking forward to two things in particular:

Taking more road trips with Mr. Ken

For almost two years, I have essentially been a hermit. I was only leaving my house to go to the food store, a doctor, physical therapy or a small family gathering. It was so much fun to get away to Vermont this past year, we will be doing it again in 2022. We hope to get to Vermont a few times. Even if Covid is still raging, we feel safe in Vermont. We stay in our own apartment and most of our activities are outdoors.

Kayaking

Thanks to my awesome physical therapy team, my shoulder is almost completely rehabbed. I am more than ready to go kayaking. It was tough last year not being able to kayak at all. Yes, I was sad, but I kept things in perspective knowing that if this was my worst problem, I was still blessed.
