The crimson water lily

I was out doing my favorite thing, kayaking, the other day. It was a glorious summer day; the temperature was perfect and there was just the slightest breeze. I was really enjoying myself and taking deep breaths of the fresh, clean air. I looked down and saw this beautiful crimson water lily. I have never seen one this color before. There are lots of white and yellow pond lilies where we kayak, but this was the first time I have seen a crimson one. It was a magical moment. I stopped my kayak and just gazed at this beauty. What a wonderful addition to the day.

I love being out in nature and try to soak it all in when I can. Seeing surprises like this makes it even nicer.
