Mr. Ken and I decided to take advantage of this glorious fall weather and went for a hike last Sunday. We hiked around the lake where we usually kayak. It didn’t hurt that our trip to the hiking place goes right by a Dairy Queen. 🙂
The colors were glorious. The sun was shining; life is good. I was struck by all the colors I saw.
There was the dark green of the pine trees.
There was the bright yellow of the leaves. It was though the sun was shining all the way through the woods.
And, last but not least, there was the bright red of the maple trees. These are my favorite.
There is nothing like Fall in New England!
And a Dairy Queen Blizzard to top off the day, wasn’t bad either. 🙂
What are the colors of fall where you live?
The pictures from my trusty little smartphone wouldn’t do justice to the colors, so I chose some online photos that captured the essence of the colors.

Our trees are just starting to get a few yellow leaves, but we snuck off to Wyoming a few weeks ago and saw some beautiful fall colors in the mountains. The aspen were glorious! We won’t get full blown autumn down here until Thanksgiving!

Hi,
Our fall runs from mid-September until the end of October. Then the trees lose their leaves and it starts to look pretty grey. I plan to enjoy the colors while I can!

The color of our blizzard was hard to see since you ate it so fast! 🙂
