I love to walk and part of my morning routine is a walk through my town. Even when I walk the same route, there is always something new and interesting to see. I thought I would share some of the sights with you. These pictures are taken with my little smartphone.
We have a small lake in our town and one December morning, the mist was rising from it. How cool.
The town is getting ready for New Year’s Eve with some colored balls in front of our town hall.
I love to read, so I make frequent trips to the local library.
No day would be complete without my daily trip to Trader Joe’s.
Oops, I got so involved in taking pictures, that I hit the wrong button and took a picture of myself instead.
What sights do you see as you go about your daily walks?

Now, that is a great looking town, I say. Trader Joes! That’s a great place, too.

Hey Professor,
And, it’s pretty close to where your favorite team, the Patriots, play! š

Is Trader Joe’s a chain that used to have (or still has) exotic tropical-type drinks? If so, memories of my first cocktails haha! Your library is a pretty large one, no? that’s one of the things I like so much about US small towns. People actually read. Italy has the lowest readership statistics in Europe, except for Greece š¦ No libraries anywhere near my walks, but there’s a nicely landscaped residential area with lots of lawns, trees and bushes with flowers in season.

Hi Bea,
Not exactly :). Trader Joe’s is a grocery store with foods from around the world. They carry all their own brands so the prices are pretty low.

Hi Bea,
Yes – that was it. I was trying to think of the name of the place you meant. š

You take the best pictures! Wish my accidental selfies looked that good, sigh. Happy New Year to you and Mr. Ken.

Hi Melody,
Well, you only see the “good” ones – lol. I didn’t want to burden you all with the accidental pictures of the ground or my feet! š

Ours is a rural town in Central Maine, where there is one restaurant, a small market and a tannery still hanging on that employs many locals. We have three churches and a wonderful library too. Half hour drive to nearest town for real shopping, but we love it here. Thanks for sharing your hometown, Nancy! š
