I love to write. I started out doing it just for fun and because it relaxed me. My writing has given me so much in return. Can we say free stuff from Amazon?
Mr. Ken is especially happy when I get free stuff like the candy pictured above. You may notice that one candy has a bite taken out of that. I am not sure what happened there, I suspect Mr. Ken got to the candy first.
I also get free technical stuff, like this cute little tablet.
It’s pink. What else needs to be said?
Because it is a technical “toy,” I really thought Mr. Ken would abscond with it. But, I think the fact that it’s pink might have dissuaded him.
Have you had a hobby that has given you unexpected surprises?

Lucky you: free chocolates usually come in smaller boxes, and the tablet colour’s really attractive! Just like for you, blogging is turning out to be surprising. I started off for vaguely job-related reasons (“you’re not even on Facebook?! you must have some kind of online presence!”), but I’ve realised that when I try to focus on producing job-type posts, I end up boring myself to death, and suspect I bore others too 🙂 So it’s moving in another direction, and the writing itself is turning out to be a real motivator. As well as having conversations with all sorts of online … friends!

Hi Bea,
I was laughing as I read your comment. I know exactly what you mean about blogging. I intended to write a blog all about marketing, but then I realized that would be very boring to read and to write. I have much more fun writing about other stuff, with a tie in to marketing here and there.

I seem to remember I first read one of your posts through LinkedIn and it was marketing related – I skipped around your blog and saw the rest was more fun 🙂

Well Professor,
He might like it better if it had Dunkin Donuts logo on it. Or better yet, if it came with a free donut.

The candy was very good although the pieces seemed rather small for me. While it is considered fine Swiss chocolate I think I’m more into quantity rather than quality. Just sayin’. 🙂

Hi Mr. Ken,
When it comes to any kind of food, quantity is more important that quality for you! 🙂

Just being a pastor, which is a full-time calling, I get all kinds of free stuff. I don’t even want to start naming the perks. I loved it when I worked at a Christian Radio Station. Lot of perks as well… people just give you stuff because they like your show. Blogging also has enriched my life with gifts of perspectives, different points of view, daily dosea of encouragement and insight, and most of all people like you and many others. Maybe a portion of your chocolate will sweeten the journey a little bit more. Happy Thanksgiving to you, Mr. Ken and your entire family.
